Services

From SAP® transformation to AI agents in your business processes: we take your initiatives into production faster, more affordably and safely.

Area 01 · SAP and enterprise systems

Transformation & Go-Live

We lead your SAP transformation safely across the finish line – from program leadership through go-live to stable operations.

The challenge

Mainstream maintenance for SAP ERP 6.0 ends in 2027 – for many companies, the move to SAP S/4HANA® is due now. It is decided at go-live: thousands of activities, hard dependencies and a tight window in which the business has to keep running. This is exactly where we are at home.

When clients bring us in

  • Go-live is approaching, but the cutover plan, data migration or fallback are not yet solid.
  • The program is behind plan, and the steering committee needs an independent view.
  • Several systems go live in parallel – across sub-projects, vendors and business units.

Area 02 · AI-native Delivery

AI in Project Delivery

AI agents as reinforcements for your project team: tests, specifications and data reconciliations in hours instead of weeks.

The challenge

Testing, specification and documentation effort grows with every rollout, and quality depends on a few specialists. AI agents change this equation fundamentally – if you know how to put them to work. That is exactly what we bring to your team.

When clients bring us in

  • The next rollouts are due, but testing and migration specialists are scarce.
  • Your teams already use AI tools – but without shared rules for quality, approvals and data protection.
  • You want to know how much time and cost AI agents will save in your program – measured, not estimated.

Area 03 · Agentic AI

AI in Business Processes

AI agents that do real work: checking, preparing decisions, taking action – from the first use case to scaled operations.

The challenge

The age of pilots is over: boards now expect results from AI. We take your agents into production – with quality, data protection and cost per transaction under control.

When clients bring us in

  • You know AI agents will change your processes – but not where to start.
  • Your AI pilot impresses in the demo, but quality, approvals and cost per transaction are still open for production.
  • Exceptions and manual data entry tie up skilled staff in finance, procurement and maintenance.

Focus: energy sector

The energy sector is rebuilding itself – and we are helping to build it: from a group-wide SAP S/4HANA® transformation to parallel go-lives of five and eight new systems at utilities and grid operators. We bring this industry knowledge to every engagement.

SAP × Agentic AI

Where SAP and AI agents create value together

From project delivery to business processes: this is where AI agents already make the difference today – each with the metrics you measure success by.

AI in Project Delivery

The AI control room for your go-live

The challenge

Thousands of activities, critical dependencies, a tight window – and status updates from dozens of teams.

Our approach

AI agents continuously consolidate every update, spot delays and conflicts before they become critical and prepare go/no-go decisions ready for sign-off.

What you gain

The full picture at the push of a button – and decisions before a delay becomes a risk.

Measured by

  • Cutover schedule adherence
  • Time to escalation
  • Effort spent chasing status

Data migration without nasty surprises

The challenge

Reconciling legacy and target systems across many data objects; errors often surface only in the dress rehearsal or after go-live.

Our approach

AI agents evaluate every test migration in full, check results against rules and prioritize anomalies with provenance – instead of manual spot checks.

What you gain

Errors surface in the test migration, not after go-live.

Measured by

  • Errors per test migration
  • Reconciliation coverage
  • Data defects after go-live

AI-native delivery for SAP programs

The challenge

Testing, specification and documentation effort grows with every rollout; quality depends on a few specialists.

Our approach

AI coding agents create test cases, specifications and documentation while automated checks safeguard every change – your team focuses on the decisions.

What you gain

Every rollout faster and more cost-effective than the last.

Measured by

  • Lead time per change
  • Test coverage
  • Cost per rollout

AI in Business Processes

Exceptions in order-to-cash and procure-to-pay

The challenge

Invoice and payment differences, delivery and credit blocks: exceptions tie up specialists and slow down your core processes.

Our approach

An AI agent gathers the documents, checks them against rules and proposes the resolution – it is posted only after approval, exactly as proposed.

What you gain

Your experts decide instead of searching – exceptions close faster and cash comes in sooner.

Measured by

  • Lead time per exception
  • Days sales outstanding (DSO)
  • Early-payment discounts captured

From document to posting – automatically

The challenge

Invoices, delivery notes and contracts arrive as PDF, email or scan – and are captured and checked by hand.

Our approach

Language models read the documents and fill fixed schemas with provenance and confidence: clear cases flow straight into the process, only unclear ones go to a person.

What you gain

Manual data entry becomes the exception – your team only handles the special cases.

Measured by

  • Touchless processing rate
  • Entry effort per document
  • Error rate

Month-end close without the reconciliation marathon

The challenge

Account reconciliations, intercompany differences and accruals tie up your finance team for days every month – under time pressure and with many manual steps.

Our approach

AI agents continuously reconcile accounts and intercompany balances, explain differences with document references and prepare correcting entries – posted only after approval.

What you gain

A faster, calmer close – your finance team analyzes instead of reconciling.

Measured by

  • Days to close
  • Open differences at period end
  • Manual correcting entries

Clean master data – from the first entry

The challenge

Duplicate or incomplete customer, supplier and material master data create exceptions in every downstream process – and become expensive by the time of migration at the latest.

Our approach

AI agents check new and changed master data against rules and existing records, detect duplicates and fill gaps with cited sources – approval stays with the data owners.

What you gain

Errors are stopped at entry, not in the process – and your next migration starts with clean data.

Measured by

  • Duplicate rate
  • Lead time per new record
  • Exceptions caused by master data errors

Maintenance: from fault report to work order

The challenge

Fault reports arrive by phone, email or app – incomplete, duplicated and as free text. Before an order exists, dispatchers are busy chasing details.

Our approach

An AI agent assigns the report to the right equipment and functional location, detects duplicates and proposes the order, materials and required skills – approval stays with dispatch.

What you gain

Faster fault clearance, fewer follow-up calls – and a dispatch team that plans instead of sorting.

Measured by

  • Time to order
  • Duplicate reports
  • First-time fix rate

Grid connection requests in the fast lane

The challenge

Grid operators receive more and more requests for solar systems, heat pumps and wallboxes – often incomplete and with long lead times.

Our approach

An AI agent checks completeness, requests missing information and prepares the technical assessment – the decision stays with the specialist department.

What you gain

Shorter lead times for your customers – and more capacity for the energy transition.

Measured by

  • Lead time per request
  • Requests complete on first submission
  • Requests per employee

Frequently asked questions

What clients want to know up front

Who works on my project?

A team that fits your initiative: Rainer Hentschel is accountable for approach and outcome, consultants and specialists from our team and network deliver, and AI agents take over the routine work. You have fixed points of contact from kick-off to go-live.

What sets Hentschel Consulting apart from a large consultancy?

Three things. First, senior leadership in every engagement: the person accountable for your initiative remains your point of contact from the first conversation to go-live. Second, two worlds in one team: delivery experience from some of Europe's largest SAP programs combined with our own AI engineering, proven by our in-house product hentschel.ai. Third, independence: we recommend what serves your initiative, and we work side by side with your system integrator to deliver it.

How does an engagement start?

With a no-obligation initial conversation about your situation, goals and timeline. This is usually followed by an entry format of two to four weeks: Program Health Check, Cutover Readiness Check, AI-native Delivery Check, AI Use Case Sprint or AI Pilot-to-Production Review. On that basis, you decide whether and how to continue.

What does an entry format cost?

Entry formats are offered at a fixed price. You receive the proposal after the initial conversation, tailored to scope and duration.

Which roles does Hentschel Consulting take on?

Depending on the initiative: overall or sub-project lead, cutover, migration or test management, setting up AI-supported delivery, or guiding AI initiatives from pilot to production – as lead within the program or as an independent second opinion.

Does this work alongside our system integrator?

Yes. A typical setup is a cross-functional role alongside the system integrator and business units that brings plans, dependencies and decisions together across all workstreams.

On site or remote – and where?

Both, depending on the project phase: analysis and planning often remote; workshops, dress rehearsals and go-live on site. Based in Beinwil am See, Switzerland, with engagements in Switzerland, Germany and across Europe. Project languages are German and English.

How are confidential data and AI tools handled?

Confidentiality is agreed before the project starts, with a separate non-disclosure agreement if required. AI tools are only used with your approval and in line with your policies on data protection and data residency.

Who is the contracting party?

Hentschel Consulting GmbH, based in Beinwil am See, Switzerland. Specialists from the network work under its overall responsibility.
