Scope & Complexity
Increased requirements for cut-over planning due to "Big Bang" go-live approach. "Seamless" cut-over for end customers and business. Zero-error tolerance due to potential impact on the globally recognized crystal jewelry manufacturer's brand. Cut-over management and communication across various departmental and organizational boundaries.
Concept & Methodology
Development of a complete data migration strategy in coordination with IT and business. Development of a comprehensive go-live concept including fallback strategies. Planning of production start and migration resulting in a detailed cut-over plan including resource plan. Management and monitoring of all go-live and migration-relevant topics and processes. Conducting rehearsals, test migrations, and cut-over. Proposing and implementing data quality assurance measures. Planning and preparation of the commissioning phase. Definition, planning, and coordination of handover to operations. Planning content creation until go-live (activities, resources). Ensuring that the content team is available, enabled, and responsibilities are clear. Ensuring that the content required for production start is generated and updated in the IT systems. Creation of a user training plan and concept. Ensuring that training materials are prepared and trainers are appointed and enabled. Ensuring planning and availability of business (all relevant teams) for training. Creation of a communication plan and concept. Execution and coordination of communication (pre- and post-go-live). Ensuring business operation readiness.
